Personal radiation detector MINI RAD-D

Personal radiation detector is used for quick radiation detection of suspect objects or area after escape of unknown substance. The device is very sensitive, omnidirectional, quantifying level of radiation exposure at scale from 1 to 9. The achieved number is shown on device display. The device is operated very simply by button „ON“. Simultaneously is possible to switch on sound or vibration alarm. The Mini Rad-D operates on 2 batteries AA. If consumption of electric energy is low (working mode 48 h/week), the battery keeps good up to 2 years.

Personal radiation detector is intended for:

• police units
• fire-fighting units
• security services
• transport of radiation materials
• customs control etc.

Personal radiation detector evaluates radiation level of object or surrounding area. In case of positive finding it enables to take antiradiation measures immediately.

D-TECT (rad-D, rad-ID)

Setting startup for 30 s, the device is scanning radiation level of background and possible source. The result is shown on display. If light signal is switched on, the orange-coloured led diode twinkles – level 1-5, the red led diode twinkles at level 6-9. Level 9 corresponds to dose equivalent of radiation – 5µSv.
