Digital Radiographic Scanner Secure Scan - NEW !!!
Digital Radiographic Scanner „Secure Scan“ for personnel inspection
DRS Secure Scan is the advanced scanner for personnel screening using low dose X-ray technology and providing high quality output image.
Technology of digital scanning radiography is based on:
- The use of an extremely narrow collimated X-ray beam and filtering system that permits high-speed head-to-toe full body screening of personnel
- The movement of the scanner person through the collimated beam in an 8 second scan process
- The detection of the X-ray beam by a series of special semiconductor scintillation detector and conversion into a digital signal
- The use of a special software program that converts the digital signal into a high quality digital image
DRS SecureScan is intended for:
- maximum level of security within physical inspection
- for finding of dangerous objects such as:
- weapons (bombs, fire-arms, knives etc.) made from metal, ceramics, plastics, wood and other materials
- any objects that can be used as weapons (needles, nails, scissors etc.)
- components from explosive detonators, wires etc.
- plastic/liquid explosives
- narcotics (incl. swalowed)
- electronic devices
- precious stones and metals
- chemical and biological materials in vessels
- any objects that can be considered as dangerous or forbiden for specific use
Application area:
- airports, ports, railways and bus stops
- border control for police or for the purpose of clearance
- sensitive facilities as nuclear power stations, military areas, embassies etc.
- diamond mines, converting plants for precious stones/metals etc.
- security of VIP´s.
- prisons - inspection of prisoners, visitors and staff
The radiation dose received by inspected persons is not exceeding 2 µSv within one inspection.
Safety for operator
The system can be managed both by one or several operators. The radiation dose received by operator at the working place is not exceeding the level of natural radiation. Exposure to radiation outsider the working zone at the distance more than 2 m is not exceeding the level of natural radiation and is therefore safe for bystanders.
