PILAR Mk II
System PILAR Mk II is the basic version of PILAR system for localisation or detection of small calibre gunshots from 5,45 to 20 mm (snipers). System works on the basis of acoustic detection caused by moving bullet. PILAR system represents fully passive device with easy installation and reliability.
PILAR Mk II system consists of two hardware parts:
- 2x acoustic sensor arrays equipped by relevant electronics
- Data Interface and Acquisition Modul (DIAM)
- Processing and display unit (Laptop, PDA)
- Two reels of cables for connecting the ASA onto the DIAM.

PILAR V
Mobile PILAR V system represents device which allows to the crew of vehicle going through enemy or unstable territory to monitor and localise small calibre gunshots (5,56 mm – 20 mm). PILAR V system monitors acoustic area surrounding vehicle. If found the source of fire based on moving bullet, the azimuth, elevation and distance of the source of fire are evaluated. The result is shown on display PDA and provides information to the crew of vehicle in order to take necessary escaping or firing countermeasures.
Mobile PILAR system operates in two modes:
- „Aggressive shots“ focused on localisation of close fire directly to vehicle
- „All shots“ focused on all sources of firing in a large surroundings of passing vehicle incl. RPG, mortar bullets etc.
